Huh? Isn't Christian and Catholic the same? I don't think there will be any Christianity today if it were not for the establishment of the Catholic Church in the 8th century A.D. And I really don't give a damn if you are Protestant, Anglican, Baptist or what have you. They all came from the Catholic Church.

Do you think it might be possible for you to provide an opinion on the topic of the thread instead of your opinion on what the left will argue; clearly a position for which you know absolutely nothing.

Would you support a law that bans this video game, or do you believe that it is the right of the game maker to make any game that the public will purchase?

I believe that it's the parents responsibility.

BTW, how did Christians and Catholics get dragged into this discussion? Protestants were Catholic at the time of the crusades...it was 400 years ago...get over it. Luther did not break away because of the crusades. In fact didn't he die faithful to the Church?

Thanks
David

Huge differences between the Catholic Church and the protestand factions...

The Catholic church is like the big bloated lefty run governments........

Whereas most of the protestant churchs are lean Righty governments.

Brian....could you put your fingers in park before you start your brain for just a minute.

Go back and read what I said.....

The same people who are arguing freedom of speach for this (supporting the manufacturers) are the very same people trying to deny freedom of speach to christians...

does the Term Hypocricy mean anything to you? Thats what I was pointing out. How the lefties pick and choose who is entitled to freedom of speech and who isn't based on their DNC handlers crusade of the moment.

If they Had the game killers shooting up the DNC convention they would have a collective coronary...but if it was the RNC convention they would be arguing its just a game.

The old arguement:

Aw heck, I wanted to say that.

Lots of sects claim they were never part of the Roman Catholic Church, which was accepted as legally legit and given official gov sanction to define heresy, by Constantine (312 AD, or there about http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04295c.htm) and subsequent rulers.

Especially in the eastern empire (Mesopotamia to Caspian and Black Sea), Africa, and in the British Isles standardization of Christianity was much delayed or never arrived. Further, there was a doctrinal split in the church resulting in both the RCC and the various Orthodox sects claiming to be the true church.

Bone makes a good point about the scoreboard of killing. Atheists have killed far and away more people than the Christians and Muslims combined.

These games have no redeeming value that I can see, but a ban on them seems anti-American to me. Plus, the games are only a symptom of deeper problems with our country.

Censorship is almost always a cure looking for a disease. Like dculcik says, it does nothing to address the cause of the problem. I think it's mercury. There is more mercury in the water and atmosphere in the past 10 years and also an increase in violent video games.

Dual tops

...

Say what you will about the GTA games and anything similar in execution to the series. However, nothing will stop me from modifying the configs to my liking, implementing a V126 - W211, and smashing W123 CHP's.
All the while enjoying a disturbingly cheap and sleazy dialogue reminiscent of the Sopranos series.

I have played every form of Satanic trash out there, and I give credit where credit is due. People who act on the actions depicted in these games are not normal by any means and should be institutionalized(our taxes at work, unfortunately).

What normal person would act in such a manner? Perhaps a sanity test be required as a prereq to purchase? I can't see how this can be stopped, and putting the squeeze on #1 isn't going to help this country, either.

People are responsible for their own actions. That's common law!

There is no solution to this. It is like a religious debate, and consequently, that is what is coexisting within this thread!

BTW, I am an Evangelical. And proud of it. I have the right to freedom of religion, just as anyone else, and I should be able to express it without fear of being cut. I just don't think some people "get" it.

Mother Rabbit: "Now Thumper, what did your father tell you?"

Thumper: "Um.....If you can't say somethin' nice, .....Don't say anything at all.....?"
