New S-Class for 2007
http://www.cnn.com/2005/AUTOS/06/20/new_mercedes_s-class/index.html
Looks like a big E-Class with S-Class headlamps. Wish they had more pictures and details. Plus, don't you think the MBUSA website should have something on it the same day it is announced in the press? |
At least the diesel will be back! I am really not a fan of those wheels; however I am luke warm to the rest of the car.
|
This has been mentioned in another forum, but it is so appropo . . . and I appolgize for the image that it's going to burn in your brain . . .
Ford Focus? :D |
The exterior styling is overstated and confused, while the interior is as appealing as a wet fart.

Has anyone here seen the Science Channel show about testing MB and Porsche? They said that MB put a cool $990,000,000 into development of the S-Class.

Those wheel arches are hideous. It's a fine competitor in this year's ugly-off with the BMW 850. |
yuck
yuck, eeew and gross!
What's with the Mitsubishi wheel arches? Oh, hell... I can't afford it. |

germancarfans.com- detailed pics of the interior.
WARNING- Big letdown in store. |
I'm born to be a contrarian, I guess. I like the looks of the car, especially the front end. I think from the rear seat to the rear bumper looks a bit packed in but the front lines are crisp and clean. Give it a minute and see if it doesn't improve.
OTOH, I think the W126 is the benchmark for elegance in auto design. This car plainly isn't trying for that level. |
