I've got both of those and more, actually. I have the original engine the Spit came with - a 1296 with about 60K miles on it. I pulled it because it was burning a bit of oil and I just wanted to rebuild one (from a parts car)- probably overkill in retrospect. I have a dual carb manifold that I bought in the UK and a couple of HS2 SUs from- I forget what car- maybe an MG. Also a sidedraft DCOE Weber and manifold. The car currently has its old single Stromberg and at some point I'll put one or the other lashup on. I honestly hadn't considered selling any of it- I tend to be a packrat.

There was a guy at my old mechanic's place that mated a GT6 motor with a Spit. He paid for all the mechanical work as he was not so inclined and I remember it being very expensive. I'd love to have one of my B's back, but I'd really love to find an MGB-GT V8. That would be sweet. Congrat's on your purchase and good luck.
