Mac related tools
I was given a project to use a Mac to schedule data backups. I haven’t worked with a Mac, and my test mule uses Mac OS 9.5
I need a routine to schedule and automatically execute one or more programs at scheduled times. I need a program to perform a copy function of groups of files, folders, and sub-folders. in the PC world this is commonly called Xcopy or Ncopy routines. Any recommendations? TIA |

Have you tried the Apple website? They have lots of administrative tools and links to commercial vendors. |
Thanks!
Someone asked me to look into it. I said I have no Mac stuff so they loaned me an IMac. Of the few folks I know who use a Macs, none know anything about schedulers or means of copying files. While not unusual for average users, its still amazing! Any idea how far back OS 9.5 dates? It might be futile to find any tools if the OS is a cast away…. |
Everything you need is in Applescript and there are probably ready to run macros available online.
