A retail store can kick someone out on the basis of race, where a restaurant cannot??

First, I'm not an advocate of racial profiling, just reporting on what the apparent state of the law is.

From what I can determine, "racial profiling" of shoppers is not viewed as a violation of the Civil Rights Act, since retailing was not included in the 60's law, whereas "public accomdations" explicitly included restaurants.

the retail establishment can ask you to leave the store. a celebrity cannot, unless he is the owner/ manager. and i dont think that is likely.
