I have used drylock masonry products and had good results

I stained my deck and railing yesterday , my next deck will be Timbertech or Trex. They still have to be sealed but a clear coat every 5 years is all it takes. My mother has a Timberteck deck and it's great. I've been on Aluminum deck before and all I remember is it had some sharp edges and it was HOT.

It might have helped if I didn't choose a 95 degree day to do it, Behr Premium deck stain is awesome BTW.
