Win Ben Stein's Shoes

President Bush was on stage this week at Montgomery Blair High School with comedian Ben Stein, talking about Social Security. When Stein announced to the packed audience that he was "Blair Class of 1962", there was no applause.

Probably because there was no one in the "invitation only" auditorium audience actually from Blair High. In fact, the actual students and faculty that were "nearby" were being kept outside where they were protesting.

Yea, this informed voter standing outside Blair said:

The telephone pole towered over 6-year-old Rachel Arbacher as she held a pink anti-Bush sign and waved to oncoming cars, trying to get them to honk to signal their distaste for the president's policies.

"He is not my president," she said. "He shouldn't be here."

It is a shame that a 6-year-old would be used by some adults to show such disrespect for the President. Regardless of your opinion of his policies, he is the President of the United States of America. I am not sure a six year old child understands the complexity of the social security system.

What a terrible thing to say about W. I'm sure Laura reads Cheney's memos to him in the residence.
