Electrical Issue
 

1996 E320 W210 100,000 miles

Interior light flickering. Unlocking all doors with key works sometimes. Other times only drivers door unlocks and alarm will not turm off. Windows will work and then they won't. Signal lights work and then they don't. All this happens at the same time. Either it all works or it doesn't. Replaced alternator and no change. I do hear noise periodically from vacum system in rear seat. Any suggestions? Thanks

Is this the car with the infamously biodegradable electrical harnesses? Try doing a search. It is a very useful function. Also the Tech Help Forum can provide excellent diagnostic help and advice. But before you ask them anything, I'd do the search. They appreciate it if you've done your homework.
