Angry That Subway Guy in the ads

Jason Fogle or something.

Am I the only one who finds him irritating? I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something there that rubs me the wrong way. i doubt it's the lisp (sp?).

I used to occasionally eat at Subway. Now I avoid it like the plague because of those commercials.

As we all get older, we all get more accepting of others and the world. I too in my old age have found this out especially at the checkout lines and drive-thru's (with the exception of the Subway ads).

Maybe i get pissed because I don't believe that he lost all that weight just eating Subway subs although that is what the ad would like for you to believe.

I'd like to lose some weight too but you're not going to see me in any Subway.

true. however, there is a difference.

the geico ads i think are designed to be stupid and annoying. i think the subway ads are designed to be serious.

Alternately, I think the Burger King ads are funny with the "King" Statue character. It's much less "corporate" than "Jack".

Gotta love the Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Sanch song ad cheerleaders.

For Carl's Jr., did anyone notice when the red flags went up for the Paris Hilton Arnage washing that the ads became more frequent and ran longer variations....

i think the best one that comes to mind is the AIG commercial where a seemingly rich guy is talking about what he has/or owns while mowing his grass on a riding mower. Towards the end, he casually mentions that he is up to his eyeballs in debt. At least he looks good to the neighbors.

Rich? nope, just rich in debt. Future welfare case.

Hey JenTay, I'm hijacking your thread a moment, sorry.

I saw a brief biography about a woman who climbed El Capitan. I think it was on Discovery, but I'm not sure. It was about tip-top athletes and she was one.

Reminded me of your adventure. How're you doing?

I find most prescription drug ads annoying, but always giggle about issues with any erection lasting more than 3 hours.

Doing fine. I am about to finish my summer externship here and will be headed back to school in mid August.

In the meantime, if you remember, I will be heading off to Costa Rica soon. I'll be there for a week. One of my girlfriend's snagged a timeshare. My contribution is the vehicle. $700 clams to drive a Toyota Prado (Landcruiser here I think). Anyway, this Costa Rica trip is a good substitute to the cancelled trip to Banff.

Thanks for reminding me about El Capitan. I don't think I can do something like that anymore. Looking back, it was pretty dangerous. I'm glad I did it when I was younger and dumber. No more of that type of stuff for me. I still have the scar on my leg as my El Cap badge.

As you can tell, my outlook on life has changed a little. After a year in nursing school, I have seen a good bit of death and disease. It really changes a person's outlook.
