Stop leak ok?
I have a small coolant leak coming from my Toyota. I see the gasket that needs to be replaced but probably can't tackle it for another week or so. Can I just use stop leak in the meantime? Is this stuff safe? I used it once on an old mustang and it fixed the problem, but I didn't keep the car either. I worry about what else it may be blocking up.
What are your thoughts?

I too would be concerned that it might be plugging other things up in addition to your leak. Can you drive it with the leak and just keep refilling until you can get it fixed?
Having said that, I've known people who swear by the stuff. There was even a time when the Jaguar factory put stop-leak in their new cars.... Wes |
