Anyone know how to restore smilies?
 

Hey Guys,

I ran a CC Cleaner on my desktop last night. Now my computer's acting up a bit, which is exactly what I was trying to prevent!

For one, the home page, Washington Times, comes up without pictures and text. Also, smilies here on the forum have been disabled unless I type them in by hand.

I use only a few software programs to keep my PC, and my girlfriends PC, both Windows XP, a 128mb and 256mb, in top running condition/performance.

I have found that a registry cleaner, virus scanner and general cleaner are basic stuff needed to make PC's runs well. I also added a PC booster recently and that helped speed things up too.

I have had good luck with "Stop Sign" for virus and pop-up controller, also "Windows Registry Repair Pro" for registry cleaning (they also offer a good pc cleaner "Windows Clean Up Pro"

Other brand name software products I've used in the past either did not work well, or didn't work at all!

These software product I mentioned are credible and work well, and not expensive!

Also: Delete old programs you no longer use via: Control Panel / -Add or Remove- but remember this is where a registry cleaner will come in as it will finish up cleaning inside your PC's registry, further cleaning stuff not removed from the deleting process of the old programs, thus speeding up your PC even more!
