Then why not spring for a new one when the old one is peeling and can't be read anymore?

Plllluuuuuuuueeeze! They buy it to be "in" and then forget all about it.

I have nothing against expressing your self freely just dont jump on the band wagon with the ribbons. I saw one for Autisim awareness. In case you haven't seen it it is not just one color it is puzzle peice patterned. similar but diffrent are the wrist bands that are in now. they were originaly sold to bind the bill of a hat right?

I noticed most people who put the "support our troops" ribbons on their cars are SUV and pickup truck owners. Makes me wonder if they really care about the individual soldiers and their families. Or could it be that they're nothing but republican warmongers who mostly care about low gas prices so they can continue driving their gas guzzlers? No that can't be.
DING! DING !! DING !!! DING !!!
We have a winner !!!!!!!!!!

I hate those ribbons. Always did. There's nothing wrong with supporting usa fighting M&W; but thosse things are SOOO tacky. It's like plastic X-mas tree tacky....
And how come Italians don't take down their christmas lights until August????

Pizzanne????

Same thing is happening with yellow the Lance Armstrong cancer wristbands.

I was in a store the other day and saw a display of them. But instead of being bands to remind people of the need to fund cancer research, they had names on them so kids would buy them. They've now gone from being a reminder of a cause to a fashion.

Again, it's a simple equation compassion + commerce = product.

'nuff said.
