If someone can tell me how the most powerful nation on earth, to whom I, along with my neighbors and friends, give thousands in taxes so they could build the finest military machine in history, was unable to save these people? This hurricane is a blot on our history, a shame, a national disgrace.
Cheney had them killed because they vote democratic. Everybody knows that.

this just in:

Some LA congressman used military transport trucks, a helicopter and Military police to go to his home and remove all of his important belongings two days after the storm wile people were being airlifted out of harms way.

Wonder how long before he resigns?

Couldn't catch the name. I'm sure we'll hear more soon.

He said the owners had plenty of opportunity to move their charges out of the facility. The Manganos were asked if they wanted to evacuate the building and were offered buses; in addition, they had signed last April a contract with Acadian Ambulance to provide transportation in the event an evacuation was needed, Foti said, but "they were never called."

I saw that they were offered busses but turned it down on some news channel.

How much military would be needed for this mess? The first case is looking like the owners doing. NO amount of military can stop Katrina. After it happened, things were in a mess and it takes time to recover. People die in natural desasters like these. No military can avert all deaths. No military can stop people from dying in a case where everythign happens at once.

As to the hospital dead of 44, how did they die?
