No power loss here

Northport, as usual, got alot of rain and parts have no power. (another good reason for me, to never move to Northport - that place is posessed anway)

Looking outside, the trees are still swaying...the rain has stopped now, and is expected not to return for about a week. So far, I haven't seen any broken branches or trees. The frogs are still quiet though....once they make noise, all is well.

Just got power back on tonite....8 days w/o is no fun. This area is still a disaster. 47 schools in our county are still w/o power and many have only partial power. Read today that it will take 1 yr to repair all of the broken traffic lights....It's been like a cross between the stone age and camping this last week.....only contact with outside world has been crappy radio programs, with alot of mis information.....

My Boss just got back from our office in Pompano Beach last night....he's been down there since the week before last...and his hotel was condemed when th ehurricane hit so he has been sleeping in the office taking sponge baths untill he finally got a flight out yesterday. Our office has generators to keep the UPS going 24/7 so they had power....he said he just did what he had to do....everyone else was more concerned than he was.

I understand the sub-tropical temps we've been 'suffering' over here lately are a left-over from Wilma, now called exWilma.

No you got that wrong.....the Pakistan earthquakes were caused by all the SUV's driving on the pothole riddled Michigan roads shaking the earth culminating in the Pakistan earthquake.
