I like it and think you should go. Learn about the political parties. Keep an open mind. Leave your mind open to recruitment. Chances are that you will find all of the attention enthralling. If another party offers a rally for your age group, go to it, too. Chances are you wont get lobotomized by being exposed to different political points of view.

Go and check it out, see what's up. I remember that you are a sophomore, I think. That means that you, and your girlfriend I assume, won't be voting in 2006. But it never hurts to see what people have to say.

Now, just for fun, if you're into stirring things up as I was at your age and I guess never outgrew. Call up the local ACLU and very self-rightously tell them that people are trying to recruit you on your high school campus and could they please help you defend your civil right to not be bothered by these folks. Lead them on for a while then tell them who'se doing the recruiting. It will be interesting to see what they say. It beats egging a house for entertainment...

Sound advice here, you've got to know life before you can judge it.

The more human experiences your youth and curiosity can afford, the better it shall stand for you.

Mind you, don't judge, simply absorb, the acquisition and accumulation of knowledge and judgement is a gradual, imperceptible thing at the best of times.
