Something's wrong...

It's now nearly November, and the temperature outside is 22 centigrade, about 82F. Has been like that for weeks. Cann't remember an October like this ever. If this is global warming, ...I'm all for it Never these gloomy, dull, wet Autumns anymore, terrific !! OTOH, it doesn't look good for the snow in the Alps in January, but I'm getting too old for that anyways.

I'll be moving near you then. I am sick of the repetitive hurricanes in Florida. Getting too dangerous around here for anyone with property.

Global warming.....BS explain that to all the people who got dumped on with snow a few days ago.........snow doesn't happen in warm weather.

Finally, something we can agree on.

22C does not = 82F

Not quite. Chech out this calculator. I can never remember the formula. But I did know that 20C is 68F. http://www.wbuf.noaa.gov/tempfc.htm This says 22C is 71F. Not quite 82F but these are typical August temperatures in the Netherlands, not late October.

It's been uncharacteristically warm here as well. I'm still in Tevas for most of the day. Last year we hardly got any snow so I stayed indoors almost all winter.

Isn't "global warming" a misnomer?
The problem is that a 5 degree rise in global temperature causes unusual events in the climate. So you can get snow dumped on you in September and get a heat wave in december, that kind of thing. Things just get more and more out of wack. It doesnt mean that everyone is going to feel 5 degrees warmer

I think they say "change " more now. Is it just me, or has it been getting windier in the open places? Maybe my "Bus" needs a new 911 motor

The oil company profit margin threads in Diesel Discussion are a bit breezy too.
