Almost exactly the 6.3 I'd own. Gray fabric upholstery and proper exhaust tips and we're good to go.

That would be a sweet ride coming down the 5 freeway.

Looks like the tags are a few years old....2002/03 is my guess since it's blue. I wonder what the penalties are. ;)

Nice, real nice. I would buy it in a flash if I were there.

One has to be VERY careful when buying a 6.3. He notes that there are "issues" with the car that are "reflected in the price". That is a HUGE warning sign to the prospective buyer.

The average 6.3 out there is carrying anywhere from $20K-75K worth of deferred maintenance, so in order to have a good ride that operates as the factory intended, this should be taken into account.

It's better just to pay $20-25K and get a nice, original, maintained-along-the-way 6.3 than trying to pay less up front and "fix up" a needy car.

If you don't believe this, just go over to the bulletin board at www.m-100.cc and read of the things the owners there are dealing with in keeping their cars up to snuff.

Cheers,
Gerry

Trust me I believe you..........sweet looking car but I doubt I have the resources to keep it that way or even get it that way.

check out this car, its also a true beauty....

I guess it could compare to the 6.3 but its more efficient and just as black on chrome and quite possibly better maintained.

Peter that is a really nice 450SEL :) I'd buy it if I didn't have the 6.9 and another parking space to put it in. What are you going to replace it with?

BTW, where did you take those pictures?

ptoro01 11-02-2005 02:27 PM

The car is in Los Osos, Cali, and those pics were taken...in the nice neighborhood of Los osos and Shell Beach. We also got yelled at for parking the car in a public park and taking a lot of pictures there, but then again the man in his mid 50s was wearing a pink shirt and walking his hotdogs. The car is getting replaced with a 300e as daily and a semester of college education. I guess its worth it but I would love to keep it.

Cool, it did look like a park access road or someone's posh beach house. A mid 50's man wearing a pink shirt and walking hotdogs (did they have matching shirts).....sounds more like West Hollywood.

those chihuahas had little bows around them but that was it, the man was rather furious and then asked what year the car was and complemented it before walking away. I was slightly confused
