November Roll-Call!¡

Howdy All,
The previous roll-calls have been such a huge hit here on the forum it's back.
It's Nov. and the temp is only down to 42°. The day time high is supposed to get up into the 70s° again today. Have a nice day everyone :-)

Good Morning Frank and everyone else,

What a difference between El Mirage and San Pedro weather. Yesterday here it was 90. Glad it is November because it means it is only 3 weeks till Thanksgiving, one of my favorite times of the year.

Have a great day.

Right now sunny and mid 50s in eastern Tennessee. I think its about time to clay and wax my car again, I'll probably knock that out this week.

Chilly enough now that we moved back down to Green Valley from Alpine. 90 degrees yesterday, maybe a bit cooler today. Got lots of minor maintenance tasks to do, a couple of which are on the 300D. Life is good.

Only had 6 kids come by for Halloween last night. Guess that tradition is going by the boards (probably to the consternation of some dentists!).

Cheers,
Wes

We had one in two years (and he was being driven door-to-door in his dad's BMW)! Houses are so scattered here, I wouldn't trick-or-treat here either...

They outlawed that....no outdoor fires... but the town does come suck them up if you rake them into a pile by the street.

Before we moved here (student housing ), we lived in a place like that. The houses were on 2-3 acres and the community was in the foothills of a mountain range. You couldn't even see our house from the road. We'd all go down to the flat part and everyone would line thier cars up on the street. Then, the kids would come by and we'd give them candy. We'd drink hot chocolate and just have a real good time.

Here, they bus the kids in from elsewhere. I kid you not, they come by the van load. Even thier parents have bags they hold out for candy. At first I though they were doing it for some kid I couldn't see who was scared, but then a couple came by with a new born. They each had a bag and said in broken english "trick 'n tree!". I looked at Mrs Azimyth and said, "Are they trick or treating for the kid or themselves?"

I don't think we're going to participate next year. I'll wait 'til we're living somewhere else.

My mother has told me the same thing from Scottsdale the last couple years. Have-nots being bussed in to 'Have' areas. What the hell! I guess nothing's about a good time anymore -- it's just about what you can get...
