Welcome To The South Georgia Desert!

How dry is it?? Well the frogs have surrounded the dog's water dish and prepared for an "Alamo" defense. Here are the ugly numbers:

Rainfall totals:
September .02"
October .52"
November 0.00 so far

It cools off to the 50's at night, but by 10 a.m everyday you have to run the A/C. People's ponds are drying up, and of the creeks on my property is dry and the other one would be too (had it not been for a large sewerage spill in the nearest town). For now at least, I admire our brothers in the Pacific Northwest. We need some cool wet!!!

While I was down that way at the beginning of the month the weather was calling for rain everyday, yet everyday was beautiful. Good thing because I didn't come prepared for rain. Heavy dew in the AM was the only water to hit the ground.

I'm glad you didn't get wet. I suppose we shouldn't complain about having to water our yards in mid November just to keep the fire danger down to a "critical" level.

Frank, stop abusing that frog!! Let him take baths with you. Let him ride in the dishwasher. Take him on an outing to the carwash! Just keep him out of the toilet!!!

Howdy Cap'n,
Nut'n more fun than hold my frog just at the top of the water while I'm taken a bath and blowing fart bubbles :-)

I've often wondered: Does a frog always jump when it feels froggy? I guess I should add the "boy" to the end to make it authentic.

Your place sounds like home to me Cap'n. We got way more rain this last year than usual. I think we may be topping the 5" mark.

been that way in NC too

We went a long while - maybe 3 weeks with no rain. Then a downpour, now 26 more days with no rain. There was a sprinkle today but not much accumulation.. It sure has been pretty outside, but everything green is suffering.

Howdy All,
If I got rain every 26 days I would be depressed. Don't like the stuff.
