what is your experience with your first car?
 

my first car is the 1991 benz 300E that i got 4 years ago !!!
I drove this car to school, I love this car, but unfortunately last year my father sold it and give me a new car...
now, my car is a C200...:)

Mine was a '69 Camaro. It had more bindo than metal, but would go like a bat out of hell. Wish I still have that car, especially if I knew it will appreciate in value like it does.

Mine was a 63 Impala SS that smoked and needed a gas tank and whose interior had been shredded by the owners Doberman's when she left them in the car while she shopped. Bought the car (in 1971) for $15.00. Made a killing on it when I sold it to Mike Heath for $90.00 about 3 months later.

Mine was a 64 Valiant Signet 200....Rare car....and wished that I had held onto it!

My first benz was an 85 190E, and loved it until an elderly old man plowed into the rear end rendering the car to salvage....oh, he wasn't hurt thankfully!

my first car was a ford tempo.. i did a burnout and threw a piston or something as it didnt run right after thatn.. after that it was a dodge colt.. wanted to put a 2.0 litre turbo engnine in it but the engine puked all the oil out onto my driveway and siezed..now ive got my first car ive bought the last two were given to me so that doesnt count.. and of course its a 300D

First car Hmmm Jeep Comando 196? Always had to have a date that could work a standard. Had some sort of electrical problem and would have to push it and have date pop clutch to start. Jeeze, I think I just had a flash back:eek:

My first car was a 1949 Chevrolet 4 door fast back with a mighty 216 cid six cylinder.:P My next car was a 1929 Ford coupe with a mighty 200cid four cylinder which I still own.:D

1979 BMW 633csi. I've had her for about two years now and for about a year, since I got my Mercedes, I've been neglecting her. Now that my Mercedes sits wrecked in my driveway I'm rediscovering how much I love my first car. I don't ever want to sell her. She's got a 3.0L straight six with a four speed manual tranny and boy is she fast. I'll probably be out of a Mercedes for the next couple of weeks so she's going to be treated to a lot of overdue loving.

1935 Ford coupe. 2nd was a 1931 Model A Ford. 3rd was a 1941 Chevy convertible. Wish I had them all now.:rolleyes:

78' diesel rabbit. Totaled into the right front fender of a stake truck. Stake truck diddn't have a dent. Hell of a car at 50 mpg with great visibality, and handeling.

Switched to the bus and a couple pairs of Chuck taylors an Austro Demmler and a Cannondale for the next six years. I did an 86 Toyota 4 runner (Picked up at 125,xxx miles and drove her in to the junk yard at 250,xxx miles where they gave me $200 for her) Landed in an 84 Cressida with systemic rust... bounced out of it a few years later into... The 1986 300E!

I paid mechanics to make it right at inspection time twice before I found
Mercedesshop... and now all is right with the world.

1968 Green GTO, 400, auto, posi.
I started working when I was 14, saying I was 16, so I could save up. I always wanted to work on cars, but my ma did not want me to become a mechanic, so couldnt even work on lawn mowers.

I bought the car, and one week later I have the engine out and apart, trying to figure out how it all works.

I hopped up the engine a bit - headers and glass pacs, Isky, Holley, Offy, Crane Rollers, Accel, forged pistons, and a little head work. I went over 150,000 on that engine and beat the crap out of it. Sold it while it was still running just fine.

Ahh, the good old days - tires every 15,000 miles or less, spark plugs every 12,000, brakes every 20,000, points every 12,000, crappy headlights. But I sure do miss them.....

I'm going to edit this post by adding this - when I was 16 not knowing a thing about how an engine worked, when I took the engine out and apart, I hung around the local parts store / machine shop trying to find out how it all worked together. They taught me a lot and put up with all my questions. I wonder if kids today could do that and not be thrown out?

Nope... Even the junkyard oldtimer doesnt like me hanging around unless I'm buying parts...

all of 4/32 on the best tire, and the worst one was shot (I did a brakestand)...

5 speed, 290k miles, 2wd, 4 popper... and could catch 3rd...

Drove it home with no paperwork, plates, lisance, or glasses:D
Changed oil, spark plugs, plug wires, and cleaned the hell outta the interior
Beat on it for 6 months, ripped out the radio, and sold it for $200...

That thing had issues... backfired like a SOB on decell (quiet truck... decelling KABAM, only once), and was EFI... wtf?

BUT it had an exelent interior... Seats were bad, but other than that, was really good... everything worked, except the AC (only needed a charge ;) )
Anyways I had fun in that poor truck, and I only bought it to learn to drive stick... twards the end I could shift (after 1st) without using the clutch (them poor synrcos)

Very good experiance, wouldnt do it the same again, but O well...

My first car was a 93 Camry. It was boring and I really didn't like it, but I had a lot of fun with it and my friends. I sold it after 18 months or so for the SDL and that car/project is going on year three.

I have bought and paid for all of my cars myself. The Camry cost me $3,500 back in 02 and about $4k by the time it was on the road. The lawn business I started at 13 payed off well. While all of my friends were scraping $200 together to buy N64's, I was buying $1k Orvis fly rod combos, and expensive ski's, ahh to be 14 again.:D

My First car was a 1970 Plymouth Duster.....I loved that car and managed to keep it decent looking till cancer ate out too much of the chassis to be safe....

Had probibly two gallons of bondo adn fiberglass in it at the end....SW Pennsylvania winters are hard on cars.....particularly back then.

Damn, I have my 400E that I bought off of my dad. He is cool enough to put my name on the title, so that I can actually call it my car.

I have had soooo much fun in the 400E too. It is one hell of a sedan, as it is a rocketship on wheels. It is funny to see those little ricers step up on a sedan, and get their asses kicked by a sedan. All in all, I have had fun in y car, as it is a fairly capable road car. Although, there was that honda that I had for a month, which was a total POS. It was losing compression, and smoked. Oh yeah it leaked every color of the rainbow. (It was my sisters old car.)
