Question I hit a deer; Can I keep it?

Considering the amont of damage to my Grand Cherokee; can i go back and retreive the carcass or is it too late? Since I don't have a tag; what do I do?
It's funny (not haha funny) my wife hit a deer in her miata (with headlight up) and the was no damage; the deer just slid over the car. It was so fast , She wondered if it even happened.

deer

Not worth it. Sorting through the bone shards and putrid contents of the punctured gut won't make the tiny bit of unbruised urine tainted meat very tasty. Besides, what are you going to do with the carcass? Leave it for the buzzards.

Its plenty legal in WI, as long as you call a cop in... You want it, call the cops on that thing... and if u dont, you can donate it to a worthy cause

Any deer hits we get in, the standing rule is,,, if there are any steaks left anywhere on the car, you can have them.

depends on the state....some do some don't let you keep it without a tag....and keeping it depends on how the deer was hit.....if it ruptured intestins I would write off anything in the area....some have much good meat some have none....you should be able to tell tramatized meat...and trash it. But only if you haul and clean it right away....

depends on where you/deer are. i'm pretty sure you can in my state.. as to the meet: how cold has it been since you hit it? how long? depends where you hit it.. the rump and shoulders shouldn't be effected by spillage of the guts.. there (abdomen) is hardly any meat there anyway.. tongue should be pretty tender also
