Is this a scam?

http://www.associatesurveys.com/faq_index.php

I got an email from a Prof at school, and judging from the mail so did about 200 other people. It claimed $600 a week for filling out customer survays. I figured what the heck and responded for fun. They sent me another email telling me to go the website and register.

My scam alarm is going off because:
They want $30 up front and that entails getting a credit card number, or maybe it could be done through paypal.

It seems to good to be true, why would a company give me $100 to complain about their crap?

anything like that with claims to make all this money for a small fee rings of scam on my radar too.....adn definately would never, ever in a million years hand over my card info to someone who out of the blue sends an email.

I've participated in some surveys that paid money, but they NEVER asked for anything up front. Steer clear.

Duh.

Yes. Scam.

Why would they TAKE your money to give you money? Let them give you $29.99 less out of your first check.

I'm taking up a collection for the unknown soldier's widow. Why don't you just send me the $$. I won't even ask for your SSN or a credit card.

I figured it was a scam. What pisses me off is its internal SCSU email. You need a password and to be a student to get in the system. These jerks are trying to screw hard working college kids out of $30.

Is their a way to screw this site up? I wish I knew more about computers I'd hack that damn site and make it crash.

If it were to crash I would owe the member who did that one BIG favor...not that anyone here would do anything like that...
