Umm... You sure that the Germans didn't kill six million Jews? You might want to check your facts. Yes, it's hard to document every single case, but my understanding is that number is pretty accurate.
Diesel: if you're so sure of yourself, how many Jews were killed in the Holocaust?

Many more people were killed in the Holocaust and in WWII, but that does not deny them the right to remember.

Oh well.
I'm surprised you haven't moved to Palestinian territory (or even vacationed there)...you think they are such fine upstanding examples of humanity.

Fewer would have died if the Allied forces had bombed the train tracks going to the concentration camps, instead of the commuter lines servicing the cities. Little known fact.

I don't smoke anything. And I'm not trying to start an in-depth discussion of the military logistics or political realities of deposing him... It's just that I'm quickly losing patience with morons like him who spread lies and hate and oppression.... He needs to be knocked off his pedestal, and whether it's done by us or his own people makes no difference to me. Apparently this guy hasn't noticed what happened to the last fatheaded Middle Eastern ruler who huffed and puffed in such a manner. Can he really be that oblivious?....

"The President of the Jewish Central Council in Germany, Paul Spiegel, said the EU-3 should wave goodbye their 'appeasement politics,' break off diplomatic contacts with Tehran and think about economic sanctions."

I have a BETTER idea for this idiot. How about ISRAEL break off dilomatic contacts, etc. What a bunch of *#$&$^. We all know what happens when you cut off diplomatic contacts.

The condition of our Israel-lead foreign policy is very sad and scary!

Yes, I'm a Libertarian.

But there's an even more fundamental, and ultimately more important, bottom line here: As "Libertarian" as I am, I'm even MORE of a "Darwinist". Social Darwinism, in particular.

Survival of the fittest.

We like to think that we are exempt or above it, but we are not. It is inescapable. We are members of the animal kingdom. Some members of this animal kingdom are dominant, some are submissive. If we do not maintain dominance (by actively defending our way of life, and by facing those who would challenge it) then someone else WILL.

Where did you read that in my post, BHD? I don't support him or not-support him. I simply don't think the US should get involved. Our own house needs mending in some VERY big ways. If Israel and the Jews have a problem with him, well, they have their own Army. They are free to do as they wish. If there are Jews in the US that have a problem with it, I'm very certain that they can get a Passport, go to Israel and fight their good fight.

well with the rants coming from the madman of Iran against Isreal....there really is no middle ground...Isreal was planning to be if not already are EU members...like Nato they would have the right to make those demands of fellow EU members.

SO by saying we should keep out hands off helping our friends .....how could you earlier be complaining we didn't have enough support going into Iraq?

after all they were only following that same line of logic.

Also keep in mind relative size differences....and add to the fact you can count on other Muslim madmen rushing to help.....Isreal deserves and should have the help of any and every Democratic nation in the world.

The previous guy, Khatami, was a breath of fresh air compared to this weak looking clown. One can only hope that many of his countrymen are embarrassed by him.

Once more, Iran is bigger than Alaska, or in lower 48 terms, bigger than Texas, California, Montana, and Georgia put together. It has around 68 million people compared to Iraq's 26 million. It's military capability far eclipses what Iraq had in March '03, at least according to everything I've read about it. Its terrain is rugged, much more so than that of Iraq.

Invading Iran would be a huge mistake IMO. The draft would have to come back, we'd need Vietnam era levels of troops to pull it off -- say 500,000 just in Iran, to go along with the 140,000 in Iraq who are looking at 3rd and 4th deployments.

The new guy is a cracker BUT: unfortunately, some of his ire at the US is founded in fact. The hot rod culture we loved so in the 50s and 60s was powered to some degree by Iranian oil that we were purt-near stealing. We manipualted their gub-mint to a degree that we would no way tolerate here.

I'm not saying we should bow and scrape to this fool but it might help if we were to come clean with Iran and apologize for our plunder and offer some sort of reparation. (Oh, they'll howl at me for this)

I mean why not? Wouldn't that take some of the wind out of their sails? And, we ARE guilty. As ye sow, so shall we reap, sayeth the prophet and master that the majority of this country supposedly worships.

When did we (U.S.A.) plunder Iran?
