Gentlemen;
I ask that your attention be drawn to the situation with Iran. It's set to start up construction and or the operation of a Nuclear Power Facility, capable of producing weapons grade Plutonium, in March, 2006. Iraq, about a decade ago, tried the same thing. Israel, knocked it out with a very effective airstrike. The Media, states that Iran will start up, in March, 2006. I think that Israel, will do the same thing to Iran, as Israel, has stated that it will. If Israel, is attacked with Nuclear Weapons, it will attack with the same. Keep March, 2006. in your focus. That's less than 90 days away. |

Well the question was will there be a major war comparable to WWII. That's why I said what I said. If you're talking about any war, then sure something on a smaller scale related to terrorism is more likely.

Hopefully a few dozen nukes exploding in the Mideast won't affect us too badly.
We did used to set them off in Nevada ourselves. The Israelis may end up having to relocate. I've always thought that they should buy the Bahamas and set up shop there. |

You missunderstand the currant situation. Japan loves us. Because Japan killed millions of Chiness 60 or so years ago and are afraid that China wants revenge. So everytime the Chiness poke into there territory by "mistake" they go nuts and come running to us. They are also watching China's millitary build up and becoming nervious. I suspect we are letting Japan build up as well and taking their armed forces off our lesh a bit. Notice their recent involvment in Iraq. I am not to worried about the middle east. I mean even if Iran has a nuke so what? They fire it off we level them the war is over before lunch. No one is stupid enough to start using nukes. Iran have no millitary to back it up. The middle east in general would be a very easy part of the world for a joint, US/Britian/German/Russian force to roll over. China on the other hand actually has the ability to back up their talk. A war with China will make Iraq look like a walk in the park. Be ready to hear about body counts in the hundreds of thousands and have rationing along with a draft. Thats why war with China needs to be avoided.

The problem with a nuclear exchange with the mullahs of Iran is that their delivery system is difficult to detect.
They give several nukes to several 3rd parties, say Hezbollah, Hamas, and Al Queda. Don't let each party know of the others. Tell them the nukes are only viable for say, a year. Iran then asks each to use at least one in Israel and the others wherever else they may wish. So Tel Aviv gets incinerated and (say) London, Darwin, and Miami. Who will the Brits and USA nuke? N. Korea? A failed soviet client state? Iran? |

Frankly if they set off one on our shores I'd just nuke the entire middle east as revenge. Basicly say if you want to go that far we will finish it. Nuke them all except for a few countries say Saudi Arabia. Then move in on the ground with Israel and mop up the rest of them and pump whatever oil they have left.

I don't think that our country is even close to consensus on that one. Isntead, about 30% would say it was our own fault another 20% would say that their side would have done it differently, about 30% would get-off on bombing anybody, guilty or not, and the last 20% don't know what they think about anything for more than the attention span of a "cockaroach." |
