I gots to go with F1. Rally got boring when it became which lame compact car can rev faster than the next with all kinds of turbo boost. It would be *****in if it was still like, Group B was it? When they had to cancel because the dude in the Delta crashed in france, unfortunately died, but none the less some good racing going on. Nowadays theres nothing out there to get excited about. If mercedes and volvo, audi, the frickin company that made rally racing worth watching at all, got back into it, maybe even the italians, that would be interesting. All you hear about is STi this, or EVO that, doesnt even matter what the Focus does nobody talks about it anyway.

I sure wish rally would've caught on here in the states. Back in the early '80's, we had an international rally event here in the Capitol Forests of Olympia, which left a real impression on my teenage mind (Audi and Lancia were the big guns back then). Since then, I can't watch or get enthused about static oval-track events (e.g. NASCAR), simply cuz they don't hold a candle to the skill and thrill of watching a rally car whip around a cliffside hairpin turn while throttling up at +75mph. Could've been a real economic boon to our depressed rural logging communities too. Sad that Merkins don't always know a good thing when they see it.

Angry F1 until...

I was a BIG F1 fan until the fiasco at Indy this year.

That is a disgusting photo of vehicular pornography. I'll not let my cars see that, thank you very much. I hope they don't get undercarriage problems or rusty exhaust systems.
