Will there be another major war during our life time?

Just wondering if there will ever be a huge war that would compare to WW2 during the next few years or decades? Just looking to hear everyone's opinion on this since almost everyone has one........I hope we don't have anything major but historians are claiming that we are long overdue for something major.

If so, who will be at war? How will it be fought? Nuclear missiles?

If their is a WW3 it will involve China. Keep an eye on them and what they are doing and form your own opinion. Personaly I think their is a 50/50 shot. I hope cooler heads prevail and it is avoided. A very smart person once said:

"I don't know what WW3 will be fought with, but WW4 will be fought with sticks"

I don't think there will be a real war with China, assuming China doesn't invade Taiwan, but more likely there will be another cold war, this time with China. Hopefully we can get out of Iraq soon where a lot of money is spent while China is quietly building up. I wouldn't worry about Japan, they're a pretty solid ally.

I agree with you there will be another war. Not agreeing with you that they are forcing their oppressive ways upon us. If we look at the issue on their view point, they think we are forcing our oppressive ways upon them. Until we reach an agreeable medium, there is no right or wrong on either sides.

The biggests culpit is religion differences. There isno other cause in human history for more deaths than in the name of God, Allah, or what have you. The day we rid of all religions, the day we stop killing each other in grand scale.

The next war should be over the degree to which we'll slash the size and scope of the Pentagon and its budget. I'm pushing for a 75% reduction, which would help to reclarify its rightful and appropriate mission, which should be to defend the nation's borders, airspace, and territorial waters.

I believe that instead of a barrage of super nukes,
unleashed by Superpowers,
the next 'war' will be much more subtle.

It will be a slow death, from a highly contagious biological agent,
released by a fanatical faction who would otherwise be powerless.

We'll all be building high tech defenses
and someone will walk it over the border in a backpack.
Maybe a crazy North Korean? Maybe a crazy Militia Man, going in the other direction?

If we seal the borders, they'll send it in a shipping container.
It won't be the kind of thing that will be easy to spot anyway.
