I wrestle with trying to get what the problem is in the first place. Isn't evolution just trying to explain how God worked his deal? Isn't science just a way of trying to understand a little bit of what God is? Until very recently it never occurred to me that anybody actually thought that "poof" there stood Eve talking with a snake or that Noah built this very large boat and managed to actually put two of everything in it, or anybody really got swallowed by a whale etc. They're out there though, and growing. Found an interesting website to explain some of the different spins that get put on religious understanding.

And the "Big Bang Theory" is a far more plausible way to explain the creation of the universe...a sudden random event of infinitely powerful proportions?

Regardless, that little piece of theoretical physics has nothing to do with the theory of evolution whatsoever.

How could it be proved as random and not directed?

Under the multiverse "theory" (uses term loosely), it is absolutely not random (well, not completely random). Still has nothing to do with evolution. I've noticed that ID proponents frequently try to link evolution to other dispararate ideas/theories in order to form a larger target to try to knock down.

i tend to belive in science as it has facts but some things just .. are out their

Federal judges have difficult jobs, but I bet Judge Jones had fun with this part of the court's opinion:

"It is ironic that several of these individuals, who so staunchly and proudly touted their religious convictions in public, would time and again lie to cover their tracks and disguise the real purpose behind the ID Policy."

I think that would be impossible to prove.

That's probably the main reason religion has never appealed to me. It just doesn't have any answers that make sense and it makes no effort to find the real truth. Science on the other hand, while it doesn't have answers to everything, is a sincere effort to find the truth whatever it may be, and to present the findings in a verifyable way whenever possible. Without science we would still be living in caves with a 30-40 year life expectancy. The truth is even if you're religious you don't have to distrust science. Religion and science are not mutually exclusive. Some of the greatest scientists were religious. The difference between them and ID proponents is that they were not satisfied with the "God made it so" answer, they wanted to know more, particularly how. Evolution is an explanation of "how". It doesn't mean God doesn't exist. ID, on the hand, says "God made it so, end of discussion." IMO it just kills all curiosity and quest for knowledge.

That's basicly the argument of Aristotle and St Thomas Aquinas.

Just say that some beleive this way, others believe that way... Nobody knows for sure, and nobody ever will.

The teachers are lieing because they want their jobs, if not at this school, they still want to be teachers. Would you lie to keep a carear in the same field?

I not sure what I think, but its an impossibal thought (for me) that when I'm dead and buried, nothing will happen. Nobody can know the answer for sure anyways with either the creation or destruction of mankind, mankinds spirit, and mankinds Mercedes:D
