Vodka

I have more Vodka than I know what to do with. The gift of choice for a birthday party about 5 years ago was Vodka so I ended up vodka's from round the world Chilean vodka, Russian vodka, Polish Vodka, French Vodka, Swedish Vodka and so on. Now when people come over and see my vodka collection....guess what they buy for the guy who has everything?....Vodka. I volunteer Vodka for parties and potlucks but I have still expanded the liquor cabinet.

And you know whats funny I still drink good ol Stoli. How bout you? At bars I order Absolute and Tonic just so I can answer Absolutely when they ask me if I would like a tall one.

You know, I operate a volunteer vodka relocation shelter in my spare time, and I can tell you're feeling a bit overwhelmed with the overstock. I sympathize with your plight and I just want you to know that I'm here for you...really.

I recently took in a few stray bottles of Volk Russian vodka...smooth.

I'm Russian so I kind of tried different types of vodka. There was vodka for sale in Russia called "Black Death". It was bottled in black bottle. Boy, if you survived drinking session then in the morning you will understand vodkas name. Funny thing is that you could buy vodka in Russia in cans, like regular coka cola cans. As personal choice I like Grey Goose straight shots. Tastes smooth, drinks soft and no hangovers next day.

I'd be glad to share a bottle with you virtual or real. It really dawned on me because while poking through boxes during our move several boxes are labeled VODKA, and the cabinet is still fully stocked. But I love the stuff. I'm not sure if I have Volk but if it's commercially available in the US I probably have it. Is Volk similar to Jewel Of Russia?

I tend to get Scotch, which is too bad because I hate Scotch. Actually, I don't really drink any hard liquor other than an occasional Manhattan (Makers, double, rocks) if we go out for a steak. I regift.

Kettle One isn't very well known but it's pretty smooth with a nice after shock.

Vodka will burn in tiki lanterns if you have too much. It also makes a great fondue heater fuel. If that doesn't relieve your supply, put a rag in the neck of the bottle, light it and throw it at rioters and looters the next chance you get.

Mix it with WVO and make a Vodka Bio Collins out of it for your Benz. Don't drive it in Kalifornia--I hear the smog cops out there give cars a breathalizer test.

Me too. My liquor consumption is pretty much limited to a fifth of tequila during our week at the beach for daily sundown margaritas. That's one fifth over a seven day period and with whoever will drink one with me.

Bought some Paliament Vodka back from Volgograd last year...was 120% proof.........rocket fuel!
My whiskey drinking friend thought it was okay too

Two fingers would get you a buzz.

Can't find it here though....downing Grey Goose now, but would like to get some more Parliament........anyone know where in USA ?
Is there a limit to proof in USA?

It depends on where you are in the USA. Some states impose their own limits; in others, 190 proof can be had.

I'm not much of a Vodka man. It doesn't have much flavor to me.

Now gin I can drink. Beefeater Extra Dry London Gin.

I drink very seldom, but when I open a bottle of gin to make Gin Tonics, for some reason I smell a pine forest.

Kettle One is not really a Vodka; however it's a very good "Jenever", a Dutch traditional hard liquor.

Back in Holland I would not touch Kettle One, only older man drink it over there, most of the time in combination with a beer. Very good marketing in the US maked it a "hip" drink and I have to admit; it's not bad and many nights of drinking end with a couple of Kettle One's on the rocks. But then agian, back in Holland I thought a Volvo 740 was a huge car

Jenever
