Crowds - Phobia or just hate crowds.

I hate crowds, crowded bars, theaters, sporting events, roads, planes, trains, buses, or anything that I have to maneuver through to move. I'm not manic or anything I've been on jam packed commuters and bars where you can't move an inch but I just can't stand more than 10 people in my immediate proximity. The idea of rubbing elbows in a dark movie theater with a complete stranger totally creeps me out.

I have no idea how you big city folks do it, I like the big city but in very small doses.

100% agreement.

I'm with you 100% I can't stand it. I think it just sucks. I don't freak out or anything I just don't like it at all. Cities.. ick. I left one 5 years ago and it was the best move. Now have a tiny bit of land around on the end of a private road. Just the way I llike it. I need my space.

Not to crazy about crowds either...I suppose city folk tolerate it because they HAVE to...much like settlers in Gaza tolerating shelling!

I don't think anyone "likes" crowds. I hate being nuts to butts in a club or packed onto an airplane but don't need too much space. I like living in the city and don't mind zero lot line houses.

I don't like crowds as well, but it's not having so many people around me, per se, that stresses me. What stresses me more is the thought that my freedom of movement is being constrained.

As such, I really dread long queues, and especially, traffic. I go out of my way to avoid the rush, and take longer alternate routes to avoid traffic.

As a corollary to this thing about freedom of movement, I get really insecure when I don't have a ride, e.g., when my one and only car is being serviced. Having a car ready for me to use anytime gives me that extra peace of mind, especially since I live here in the suburbs with not-so-ready access to mass transportation.

I'd bet an orgy would be repulsive to you too!

You must be a one woman man!

You need to find a cabin out in the middle of wilderness, like Ted found in Montana, but please, no manifestos!

Oh alright. It gets tiresome sometimes going off half-baked anyways.

Thanks for the reminder. It's to eat, drink, and be merry.

I actually like crowded bars, it seems kinda weird to be sitting on one by yourself.

Movies, I agree, I never go when the film first comes out, preferring to wait until I get the seat I want, as opposed to whatevers left.

I am a big city type of guy though. Love NY and Miami and go ape***** when I'm in small town like Sebring(Dad's house) for too long.

I like the nightlife, or at least the choice of going or not. Same thing with restaurants. Do't go that often anymore, bit I like being able to go to when I want.

folks, I hate crowds, and always look for fire exits in theaters and restaurants...can never be too safe. As for bars, I saw a shirt that sums me up perfectly...it said "instant *******, just add alcohol". Suffice it to say, I don't drink anymore.

You are right. Sometimes I'm a little too sensitive. Anyhoo, .....

Happy Holidays everyone. Time to dig out the old vinyl records and play some christmas music.

Crowds annoy me people are always in my way! I am not anti social but I would rather not be stuck in a massive crowd. I am also not a fan of real big cities, they are fun to visit but I wouldn't want to live their.
