Question Ok I saw Mail Call last night, how the heck do I get a machine gun?

That was the coolist episode ever! So how does one go about legally getting a machine gun? All those people did it so it isn't impossible? I have always loved the AK-47 and some day I'd like to have a gun collection. I don't want a wimpy semi auto 10 round mag one. I want the full auto 30 round banana clip version.

Has anyone been to that ranch in Knob Creek Kentucky? I'd like to go to that show sometime. The night shoot looks amazing.

Check your state laws for specificity, but generally, one needs to clear a class three background check, pay the $200 tax and the confiscatory price of such a weapon. Then, wait........

Really! Thats so cool! As soon as I get out of college and have a real job I am buying an AK-47 or G36, I love this country!

I need to get off my but and get my pistol permit. That would probably be a good start.

Do you have to have a permit just to own a pistol where you live? Wow. In most places you only have to pass a background check and endure a three day waiting period.

In Pa. it's a 20 minute background check and you walk out with your gat.

perhaps hatty means a concealed weapons permit. That would make sense. There is no waiting period for CCP holders. Personally, I believe my concealed carry permit is inherent and recognized by the formative document known as the constifreakingtution.

Well, I live in the South..... So they don't want angry 'necks buying a gun in the heat of a dispute. You can buy long guns with just a five minute background check here, however, if you want a handgun, unless you have a ccp, you have to wait three days. As if a high powered rifle never killed anyone before. Btw, you can still buy guns here from private parties with no background check or waiting period. If you go to one of the many gun shows, you can buy just about anything.

Yeah I was refering to the concealed weapons permit. CT it actualy pretty liberal with gun laws for a northern state so I'm happy.

That's great! I have to use it.

BTW, I directed the NRA's national TV show, "The NRA Today" for a few years here in the DC area, so yes, I'm a gun advocate.

Hat, get an AR-15 or MP5. The MP5 is the best gun ever IMO, not only do I owe my life to the designers of the MP5 it's the most handy firearm ever made.

The AR-15 is a fine rifle, if a bit hard to keep clean inside when shooting cheap, dirty ammo. Of course, there's also an obvious solution to that.

If I lived in a state which allowed me to buy a full-auto rifle, I might an AR-15 lower receiver built for selective fire. Then you can mate it to whatever AR-15 upper you want, with no legal hassles.
