Any chance you're thinking of the 3000NFP stands from AC Hydraulics? They're nice, put pricey. The lowest price I've seen yet is $91 each, including shipping.

Lester you need to get some large blocks of wood. Cinder blocks can shatter as you have seen, 8x8 blocks of wood will not.

I have a set of those AC Hydralic jackstands and highly recommend them. In the photo below I've used them to support a 300 TE wagon after I lifted it with the scissors lift. I needed to get to the transmission pan and it was to tight with the lift.

if i had the money id have that set up . or just an actual lift
