iPod Question!

Hey guys,

Just picked up a nice 30gb Ipod which plays the videos. Very nice.

For those who have iPods, my question is how do I get the artist and title to appear in the list of songs when scrolling through on the ipod? What it shows is just the song title then when u select the song it shows all the info (artist/song title) aswell as the bar/time for the song length.

The only way to get the artist to show along with the title of track in the list of songs is to type in the artist's name in the list where the title is in Itunes.

Is there a faster or automatic way to make it do this?

If you're on a mac, dvd ripping is extremely simple. There is an app called "Handbrake" which does all of the steps for you and best of all it's free.

For Pc's I don't know of anything thats as good or simple but here is a good tutorial

my other stomping grounds.. i know alot about these fancy lil gadgets. i have myself a first gen ipod mini silver all original with original T-chain jk jk.. never been dropped no scratches on the screen two small scratches on the bottom.. its my other toy just like my 300D

for ripping to a windows machine it is alot harder.. i have all the programs to do it but decided against it because i couldnt buy my 60 gig since i bought a 300D-T

it would take at least a day or two to rip .. reformat.. format again to make the video an mpeg4 for itunes on a windows machine

iPod movies

The software is called Cucusoft iPod Video Converter Suite,
It is pretty simple actually,
It can even put the movies on your PSP
when you have it installed, all you have to do is click on the shortcut
then select the Run DVD to iPod Covnerter (its actually spelt that way)
when the screen pops up, click on open dvd, the dvd should be labeld so you can find it easiely
then sometimes the dvd will have more than just the movie to install, so you click on the ones that you dont want, usually the actuall movie has the most frames, but you can check them if you like, by pressing play on the screen.
when you have all the ones that you have selected then you can choose if you want subtitles or not, when your all done, just click on the big CONVERT button, then watch tv, cause it takes awhile and you wont be using the computer while its doing this cause it slows down the computer alot, o if i seems that the screen has frozen after awhile, its just that its going to screensaver...its just that slow.
so once it is done go to iTunes and select Add File To Library, then go to the folder you save them in, and click on the dvd you just converted, once you update the iPod it should automatically transfer it to the iPod, if you went to iPod options and have it automatically do that.
Also, before you start converting the DVD you might want to go ahead and label it so it saves time later.
I hope this helps you.... and that it doesnt put you to sleep.
Goodluck with the iPod

Ipod comes with a battery that cannot be replaced (easily) by the owner. Believe it or not EVEN Ipod competitors are switching to this type of non-user-replaceable battery. Go figure

I just bought a Cowon X5 and its battery cannot be replaced by the user, you have to send it in. There is a "change the battery" warranty. If you try and do it yourself it voids the warranty Ipod is similar.

You can replace the batteries of an iPod, it's not easy but can be done.
