Oh happy day!

I just made the last tuition payment for my share of Thing Two's college education. Joy! Rapture!

Pardon my horn tooting but...
this one graduates from Trinity University in the spring with a Bachelors in Engineering Science concentrated in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics and is already being courted by Samsung. While accomplishing this feat, she also played four seasons of Div III collegiate vollyball carrying a full scholastic load and maintaining a 3.7something GPA.

If I didn't know better, I'd think she was someone else's daughter.

Congrats...

... to you both.
That's worth some horn tooting.

But, with all that, you refer to her as "ThingTwo" ???

Good for you

Beans -- good for your brain.

When they were squeakers, The Cat in the Hat was their favorite bedtime story. I used to know it by heart.

Thing One is a bike mechanic and now lives in Idaho.

"I will pick up the hook.
You will see something new.
Two things. And I call them
Thing One and Thing Two.
These Things will not bite you.
They want to have fun."
Then, out of the box
Came Thing Two and Thing One!"

You be chillin', GS.

And genuine congratulations to you, Leo, and most especially to your daughter. Bask in the moment!

Roger that.
Sounds great to me. Sounds like a close relationship and family as well.
Good for you. Congrats again.

Please pass along our congratulations. To both of 'em and to the proud parents too. If most families turned out that way we wouldn't have near the problems that we are "blessed" with.

Thanks all!

The 'rest of the story' is that their mother and I have been divorced since 1989 and I've been re-married for 12 years this next Monday. We all apparently get along fine and have been able to achieve some common goals that couldn't be focused on before the divorce.

That's a great story!
Congrats to all of you.
