Whatta poet.

I figured as much information like that is hard to come by. If someone could direct me to a $10 dinner with all the trimmings in mid Michigan I would be thrilled.

Besides I give you guys a lot of latitude.

I think you are just getting tired of talking about the same stuff again and again. How many times can you talk about how much you hate Bush?
I talk about how we can improve on Bush. I hope, I mean really hope, that someday people will improve on me, on us. Won't be hard.

In all group activities there are periods of increased activity and decreased activity. I don’t see where the shop has had any notable change in a general growing trend over the last several years, save for spikes due to a few members. I do agree that we have slowly increased the frequency of political topics to the occasional point where they are about all that is discussed, but you can look back to the first year of the shop and see the at pattern of political debate beginning. The events of recent years have caused outrage on the part of the population that’s been unmatched since the ‘60s, and we didn’t have the web in the ‘60s, so the trend is entirely predictable.

What has always been an interesting phenomena, at least to me, is that folks seem to enjoy someone who is a strong proponent of any range of issues, as long as the proponent doesn’t pursue a course of attacking other members. Ironically, for most but, definitely and thankfully not all prolific posters, the advance of agenda always comes wrapped with a plethora of personal attacks. Time and again this combination has made for a predictable pattern of demise.

If anyone has tired of the topics discussed, bring something to the forum. It isn’t difficult to paste a link or article. In essence we agree to entertain each other. It is no one person’s responsibility to be the provider for the group. At the end of the day, this place is nothing more, and obviously nothing less, than what we make of it.
