NON POLITICAL---Need Torque Wrench Service - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I have a rather large capacity torque wrenh ( over 600 lbft) that needs to be serviced and calibrated.
I would like someone close to Baltimore, MD so I could take it in and not pay shipping.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Even a place to start looking would be a help.

Where to start? A quick Google search turns up Master Metrology in Towson. Make a phone call and see where that leads you. Even if they don't offer precisely the service you need, they might be able to refer you to an outfit that does.

Know any Air Force folks at Bolling or Andrews AFB's? They will have a "PMEL" (affectionately AKA "PeeSmell") shop that calibrates all the military's torque wrenches, protractors, thermometers, and so on. It's a long shot, but if you can find the right guy, they might do it for you.

i wouldnt see why the would not calibrate your torque wrench.. you do pay their salary through taxes

Check with the maintenance shops at an airport. They are required to have their wrenches calibrated periodically. Also some of the mobile tool vendors could likely take care of your problem.
