When? 1961, Bradford, Yorkshire. We got our first television and Dr. Who was my favorite show.

My girl hooked me up with a bunch of the DVDs... let me say. The Tom Baker years were by far the best... The others weren't horrid, but Baker really took the cake.

The Five Doctors wasn't as a good as I remembererd it when I watched it the other night. I have to sit down and watch again... I was a bit tired and couldn't get into it. I'm not a big TV watcher, but I have to admit... it is a good show. And I am NO fan of BBC shows.

I think my Mom has a scarf like his from the '70s...

When we lived in Brussels in the mid 80's my brother and I often chose to suffer that show for lack of anything else on tee-vee in English. It was that or The A-Team poorly dubbed into Flemish, which had its moments, too. Gotta love those BBC "special effects." Did a guy just fall over, or did a planet explode? Hard to say.

Anyway, the good news was that we were privvy to The Young Ones and Monty P's Flying Circus, too. And lots of topless advertising on the Belgian channels.
