Something funny I put together....

This is something funny I put together for my friends. They are pretty much non-car people so they like to hear about my "amazing Subaru"

I know, I know the Benz is the same way.

It is time once again for another installment of the Soob Chronicles. I know you have all been sitting on the edge of your seat for quite sometime now so I will update you on this momentous occasion. The Soob has been there for me through thick and thin for quite sometime now. (since Jan 7th, 1997)........(I know that is pretty sick that I can remember that) Well, anyway it was a Saturday.
Last summer I was too busy with the Mercedes and the Soob sat faithfully waiting in my parents driveway. When it was time to put the Benz away I called upon the Soob to fullfill its duty. After charging the battery it started right up. But as I pressed it into service it showed its resentment by nearly locking up the front brake. Halfway up Hostetler Rd. I was wondering why the steering wheel was shaking violently and smoke started coming from the right front of the car!
Well, I patched things up between us with a new caliper, and oil change and new windshield wipers. All is good.

Now we have embarked on a new journey together. I have took the opportunity to embellish this story so read along and be patient. Here are some realizations that I have come up with:

Distance travelled: New York to Los Angeles=90 times
Around the Earth's Equator=12.5 times
I'm on my way back from the Moon=239,000 miles one way to the moon

Time and money to get there: 84 oil changes
5 sets of tires
5 sets of spark plugs
5 sets front brake pads
3 sets spark plug wires
3 sets rear brake pads
3 sets of new front brake rotors
3 fuel filters
2 new axles
2 rear struts
2 sets of rear brake rotors
2 new front fenders
2 sets of timing belts
1 new front caliper (sorry dear it won't happen again)
1 new clutch
1 oil pump
1 water pump
1 transmission

Is it all worth it? I think so. How many people do you know have over 250,000 miles on their car? (same engine by the way)

I still mourn the loss of my wife's Impreza (it got tee-boned by a lady who ran a stop sign). I definitely will get another Subaru.
