The Soprano's.

OK, come out of the closet fella's. I am getting pretty excited about Sundays season premier of The Soprano's.

I'm looking forward toit as well.

Honestly, after almost 2 years in production, it had better be good. Or maybe they keep fans interest by making them wait.

How hard can it be to come up with plot lines?

24 has pretty intriguing plot lines and a lot more high tech stuff going on, and they have 24 new shows every year.

?????????

I don't have cable so I'll have to wait for the DVD's. Don't give away the plotlines. I like the book, 'Sopranos and Philosophy'.

I've been a fan since the first episode....I'll be watching it for certain.

Botnst 03-12-2006 09:30 AM

I have only seen one episode. It was when I was stuck in a motel in Vicksburg. It looked like an interesting show and I was surprised that I could get immersed even though I hadn't seen the previous dozen episodes.

All I have is basic cable.

B

PS But I am totally hooked on "24." The one thing taht bothers me most about "24" is that I could not imagine such incredible ineptitude within a supposedly secure facility. Cell phones? Open access to the computer system? Colleagues bonking each other? Married people within the same chain of command? WTF?

I like to cookbook.

Hey B, there is a google video knock off for those without HBO, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3775043531590143294&q=sopranos

I can Tivo and burn copies for you if you feel compelled to watch it.

I have been waiting for this night for two years!!! I usually hate gangster based shows but this is so well written and acted! I was hooked on day one! Let the violence begin!!!

Plantman 03-12-2006 11:28 AM

I like 24 as well, but am am alwaya amused when I see Jack's cell phone work perfectly, no matter where he goes or does. Mine won't even work in my house.:D :P

MikeTangas 03-12-2006 11:40 AM

I like the Sopranos, but only get to watch them when away on detail (no HBO at either house), got caught up on lotsa reruns while at the Soo for 4 months. I also like 24 and find a few problems with it..as mentioned the ever functioning cell phones. Shoot, every time I HAD to rely on a cell because the radios didn't work, guess what...seldom did the cell work. Unlike BOT, I find the nepotism to be reasonably accurate, I've worked a number of posts where there were husbands and wives in the same COC even though the AM's (Administrative Manuals) don't permit it.

Regarding colleagues bonking, I think that goes on every. Just easier in a secure facility ;) :P

Concerning bonking and nepotism, I live a sheltered life. Is, everybody in my office is bonking each other except me? If so, I'm pi$$ed-off with envy! I need to buy a Postal Uniform and show-up for work mad.

Yeah, the cellphone thingy is kind of goofy.

Also, though I've only driven through Los Angeles once in my life, I don't think it is humanly possible to go anywhere in that city in 15 minutes.

But I still like the show. The one rule I have in life is if Jack Bauer shows-up run like heck 'cause somebody is fixin' to enter a world of hurt. You don't want to piss Jack off.

So to speak.

You know what's awesome? They film most of the stuff in my town :) Heck, when the show begins and they show various shots you will notice a place called "PIZZA LAND". Anyway, I get my pizza from there as it's only a block away from my parents house. Whenever I have time I usually try to see what they are filming and always see Tony and the crew just hanging out. I met "Tony" a few times and he does talk the same way in real life. :D Oh yeh, most of us New Jersians sound like that too.

That is the Italian coming out in you:D

Plantman 03-13-2006 02:33 PM

Too much hoopla and not enough content I thought. Had Tony not been shot, it would have been a snoozer.

It sort of was anyway, because you know he will be back.

We waited 2 years for this????
