Yeah no surprise there. The new wheel well's are pretty nice, dress up a nicely detailed suspension. The gaskets add about $15-$20 onto that price. Door handle doesn't surprise me, they are not cheap. But if you are pulling them for a repaint the gaskets around them are only $8-$10.

Very reasonable pricing.

Perhaps a little better here.

It's comforting to know that Mercedes is working diligently to get our cars off the road.

You will have to explain that one.

I think he means that people cannot afford the parts for them at the dealership, hence them just setting in the driveway.

Yeah - genuine Toyota parts are high. There was a couple of times I needed some for my Toyota. I remember that struts for my 93' Camry LE V6 from the dealer were something like $400 each! Needless to say, I did NOT buy them.

A relay needed for my old 81' Toyota Cressida was $90.00. I ended up going to a junk yard and getting one out of a 82' Toyota Celica for $2.00. Worked perfectly.

Recently I've bought some parts for my 1990 Lexus LS400, and I've got NOTHING to complain about the cost of Mercedes parts.

A poster on a Lexus group was complaining about the cost of a brake pad wear sensor, $12.50! Mercedes is like a dollar.

Now Mercedes does have some mega-priced items but they seem to be readily available used on ebay.

I used to have a 1990 Lexus LS400 too. I never had to buy parts for it though. I wish I still had that car - BEFORE I had sold it. The girl I sold it to crashed it, then blew the engine.

If you don't believe DB fixes prices in order to rid the roadways of older model Mercedes, you aren't paying close attention. I firmly believe they've been playing that game for many years.

No I don't see that, I see MB supporting the old cars by still carrying the parts, and being able to get pretty much anything for these cars at a reasonable price. Is GM or Ford doing that? I can walk into a MB dealer and get anything on my almost 20 year old car overnight if they don't have it in stock. Try ordering anything for my dads 10 year old Ford and it is an ordeal. Ford doesn't make it can't get it, go buy a new one is their line. If its more then 4-5 years old it seems most American and Japanese dealers can't get half the stuff.

If they are fixing prices they are doing a pretty bad job of it, ouch $4.20 for a rubber wiper cap hurts, ouch.
