I haven't figured out how to get my pics small enough to upload them to this site, but my dog Roamer looks pretty much exactly like the dog in the picture here: http://www.flatcoat.com/

He's a 7-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever and a very good dog. He's obsessed with fetch and when he brings you a tennis ball he will stand in front of you, still as a statue with one paw in the air, waiting for you to pick it up and throw it.

Roamer didnt learn how to play fetch until he was 1 1/2, which was when my girlfriend acquired him from someone who couldn't take care of him anymore. As a result he's not actually very good at fetch; he might walk right over a ball three or four times before he realizes it's there.

But Roamer has taught me a valuable lesson. Obsession trumps natural talent. He never gives up and always finds the ball eventually.

I Look it up on Amazon, sounds familiar. My Molly as a pup chewed up all the wood furniture and Kitchen cabinets, mostly all the bottom legs,and corners. When she started chewing holes in the carpets, that almost got ME thrown out. She got over it though, thank god. Now all I have to do is repair the damage, or buy new furniture . Worth the rewards though.

Man, that was tragic and extremely sad, I can understand you pain.

Not so sure that works. I got a new Shar Pei but still miss the old girl that died. It is like losing a part of me. Never gets better.

Probably the most true statement I've ever read on this forum. When I go away for a few day's or more, I miss the dog more than the family. She's so happy when I get home, it takes her an hour to calm down.
