Mythbusters is getting fancy...Using a MB

So those fellas broke out a gold diesel MB...looks like either a SD, or maybe a SDL...someone who knows the big bodies better than I can chime in on that.. and turned it into a veggie oil machine...how fancy

I just saw that, too. Maybe Zeitgeist saw it, he's a biodiesel guy. OTOH a w126 may offend his proletariat sensitivity (kidding, Z).

Saw it, it was an SD. Had the later wheels on it. Somewhat beat, but body looked good. Love CA cars!

yeah, I had real issues with their filtering. Looked like they used window screen for the filter media. Still, good to see (hear?) nice things said about an SD. And now we know what mileage one can get at 35MPH on diesel or cooking oil. Wonder if Sady caught it since he has a converted SD.

Well the fuel mileage wasn't real world. Run any car around a perfectly flat track at 35mph and expect extremly good mileage.

The 10% drop switching to WVO was about right though.
