Water salesman

Another salesman-friend of mine told me ten years ago he was leaving Polaroid to go and sell bottled water and I was incredulous. Polaroid went bankrupt and Pellegrino water is going great guns. Who woulda thunk it?

I still drink the stuff out of the spigot. I've drunk water out of open wells, hand pumped wells, ditches, and rivers. If I'm buying a bottle of something, it better have more than water in it!

Our well water is probably fit to drink, but I coughed up about $100-$150 for an under the sink Reverse Osmosis unit 5 years ago. Makes me feel better- I dunno, maybe its voodoo.

We have well water. My folks used to bring bottled water when they would come to visit. Imagine the surprised look when they found out the bottled water came from a water plant not five miles down the road.

That's funny. Most people would be shocked to find out where their bottled water comes from.

True. I don't want to hijack this thread, but another thing that I have noticed is that many grocery stores are selling food items that have expired or are very close to the expiration date. Just today, I saw frozen burger patties that had been "born on" the 109th day of 2005 for sale in the local grocery store. No thanks.
