Am I missing something?....How do I work the Quote feature?
I must be missing something as I can't get the Quote feature on this site to work. When I reply, if I quote someone, it doesn't highlight it. It does this
[Quote John Doe] then the actual quote. Yes, I am not the sharpest pin in the pin cushion when it comes to computers.  Thanks Chris

Sometimes I want to edit a sentence and not the guys whole paragraph. The previous post that I did worked but it still bracketed some also. So how do you edit a quote and get it to post properly. Be patient with me........

I select the 'quote' feature and edit within the text using the highlight and delete functions with my mouse buttons.
One can also parse a quote to answer specific facets of a post by copying and pasting the quote commands.......... I can show you examples via pm if you wish...

Press the quote button in the lower right hand corner of the post.
When the window comes up, there will be an HTML code tag at the beginning inside the brackets [QUOTE........]. There will also be the statement at the end: [/QUOTE] Don't mess with anything inside the brackets........either at the beginning......or the end. It's common for folks to delete the first bracket and the backslash in the closing tag and then the quote doesn't work.
