There's an E55 for sale locally

It's been in the classifieds for several months. 1999. Asking $22K. I'm not interested in actually buying it but if anybody here is interested in pursuing, here it is.
The online advertisement is out of date (price). http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp;?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=24&pageNumber=0&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=PRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=false&criteria=K-%7CE-ALL%7CM-_31_%7CH-%7CD-_287_%7CN-N%7CR-30%7CI-1%7CP-PRICE+descending%7CQ-descending%7CS-_4_%7CY-_1999_%7CX-popular%7CZ-70502&aff=dailyadv&paId=199602896&recnum=0&leadExists=true&sellerFirst=true

PS I just read the Carfax. http://www.carfax.com/cfm/FSBO.cfm?report=12A9367C6A01140651622C5A0F7E9CAD

Might be a Katrina car.

Nice!

I'm gonna trot that one out for Mrs B to shoot down. Eventually persistence will triumph where finesse fails.

Hey, you never know. Sometimes you'll get an "OK" when you would have never anticipated it.

Uh oh

Yep. Showroom condition "only in Atlantis"

You want to run away from that puppy. Cheap for a reason.

CARFAX caught it. I read elsewhere that CARFAX is now being VERY aggressive in reporting Hurricane Katrina cars. Good thing that, because no one else does.

It seems one of our Mississippi brethren also just acquired a '1995 C280 sedan with all kinds of very strange dash, horn, fuse and electric problems in it, and someone posted to him "Katrina car maybe"? And he replied cryptically, "Not clean title"

Stay tuned, for more of this. There are literally thousands of nice expensive FLOOD cars from around there, just waiting to rise resplendent and show up on a car lot, ebay listing or Trader ad near you!!!

It'd be nice if the insurance industry would pool their resources together and post all the VINs of vehicles they Katrina'd as a service to all of us sorry suckers out here.

Thanks, just picked up the rims/tires for a song. 500 mile take-offs from an '06 C230 Kompressor. I like to see the ricers do a double-take when they glimpse the intercooler. When I get done with this project, I should be able to embarass all but the most studious ricer-roni boyz...not that I would ever deem to stoop down to such pettiness, mind you.

Looks like the car moved from Jersey to Lafayette. I doubt it was flooded if it was in Lafayette during Katrina.

John Doe is correct I doubt this car was flooded Lafayette did not sustain any storm surge or heavy rain flooding. I live in Baton Rouge just 50 miles from Lafayette and we did not flood.

That's why people hire lawyers to read the damn docs! I missed that.

Let's see...."Honey, Mr. E55 on O.D. says cars like this usually sell for over $30K. So buying it is like SAVING $10K!"

Hell, it works for shoe sale math.

Nothing is automatic when dealing with Mrs Bot. Strictly a clutch and shift woman, her.
