How silly do you think the current administration will have looked when the research yields results -- we could have gotten there faster and saved more lifes with more research.

True, but could we agree that some admins. have cared more about it than others?

Well after giving it a lot of thought, I don't give a flip how this or any other administration looks to people who want a nanny state to kiss their little bobos and make smiley faces on their bandaids.

It appears that research into this or any number of other potentially profitable avenues can find private funding from people who are willing to risk investment on a hope of turning a profit down the road. Good for them, I hope they get rich. Saves me paying taxes for yet another thing that the government doesn't need.
