'85 300 SD - mint - 76K
Reminds me a bit of the low miles car Surf n' Turf was thinking about. This one's on Bay Area Craigslist and they're asking $14,500. It's a bit more than I can spring for now but if it was $10K or so, oh man...

You are right, the color tongues poop chutes (sorry) but mileage wise for a diesel that is almost new.
And obviously he wants all the money. That thing better be rust and accident free garaged all its life and all and that means ALL books and records, for the price San Mateo is a pretty upper income area now, so probably they had the $$$ to take care of it, not like it is advertised in San Pablo or the "Iron Triangle" of Richmond  If you could forgivbe the color and wanted a really nic e one, and it checked out, it would be a good car to slip into Your white one looks SO much prettier-don't worry about it too muchl

License plates purposely obscured in the picture but
Unless it at some time had California personalised plates replaced or it had the yellow/white rising sun Calif. (82-85) plates, to be original that car better be sporting California blue and gold plates (1970-86) to be truly original and having been in Calif all its life....
He will probably get his price on the car, from someone whos gotta have a diesel. Prices pretty good for them just now, a seller's market

Considering what a new car of that quality would cost, and the unavailability of same, were I about to drop $50K on a new car, I might just buy this one and splurge for a top paint job.
Hey Jim, you saw the picture of my white 300SD somewhere? It's been so long, I almost forgot I posted them. I'll have to put in the "my stable" category. And uhh... mine does look nicer from some angles, but you haven't ridden in it.
