I'm typically not a baseball kinda guy... Hockey really does it for me: Nothing like a bunch of tough guys battling it out on ice with sticks... purely medieval.
Edmonton has come back from a 3-1 deficit to tie the series 3-3. Saturday's game was unbelievable. The Carolina defense finally cracked and Ward proved to be human after all. Edmonton's miraculous backhands from Pisani and Staios (i think) were awesome! Even Commodore's agressive defensive plays couldn't stop them!!!!! Even if Edmonton doesn't win, they proved to be an awesome adversary, Merkannen made the Canes earn the cup. Only 20 hours till game 7!!!
On a slightly different note, yesterday's world cup soccer matchup between Italy and the US was INSANE ! It should have been a victory for the US if the refs weren't so biast... worst calls I've ever seen!!!!!!!
I know we have no chance, it's not our game; it's like putting a bunch of Italians on the football field against an NFL team... so yesterdaY's game truly was miraculous... they fought so hard for it. We play Ghana next..... USA! USA! USA!

USA got screwed by the refs... it should have been 2-1 USA. But my Italian friend who was watching the game with me says it could have went the other way when an offsides call was called on Italy when they scored. It was a pretty ugly game... but intense. US played well with 2 less players than normally.

US need to beat Ghana and have Italy beat Czech Rep to advance. Or Italy and Czech tie... and US needs to win by a margin of 2 goals(i think).

Talk about group of death. This is it.

what happened to the USA is the recurrent problem of soccer authorities that stubbornly refuse to have instant replay referees in international and high stakes encounters.
It also happened to the French yesterday (1 goal canceled and Zidane unfairly yellowed).
But if you really want a dirty one:
4 years ago, Spain versus Korea (3 goals canceled for fantasy offsides and 3 fantasy yellow cards). Spain Should have won 3-0. and go to the final versus Brasil.
