That's an easy fix. I drive an extra three miles to a Stop and Shop that specifically has too many checkouts available. Nine out of ten times, there is a checkout that is wide open.

I have called the store manager to compliment her on the customer service.

No other grocery store will behave in similar fashion. In fact, some of them have installed the self serve checkouts........they take forever.

The worst is the Price Club. Always wait 10 minutes to get out. But, they have goods that cannot be duplicated in the grocery store.

I refuse to use those self checkout things. Not only do they take away jobs but why should I have to check myself out? I simply refuse to.

Never had that combination. Maybe someday but not in Madison. Haven't heard of a Chinese-Cuban restaurant. Was it plain fly lice or was there other meat or what?

Maybe someday I'll run into you and hear your RR speak. I must say I haven't heard it from anyone lately other than on the show. Would be amusing.

It's a tough one. I don't like them but when I go to an Albertsons (they took them out of Safeway), and all the checkers have people lined up with big carts, and the self-checkouts are empty, oh well, I hate waiting in line.

When Home Depot got them, at first people didn't want to use them so you could get out of there a lot quicker if you used them. I'm thinking, this can't last -- as soon as people start to use them more, they'll cut back on checkers, and the self-checkout will have long lines. Sure enough....

I don't have to shop at stores that use them. Their are plenty of small very nice grocery stores around here that are to small or not interested in that self check out crap.

While it doesn’t particularly annoy me, the range of problems related to USB devices and wireless keyboards & mices are on the top of the lists of many of the folks I work for. These are three of the poorest designed devices to hit the market. There are few options for troubleshooting the problems related to USB, which usually gets down to the USB hub not performing to its stated specification, and none of the wireless devices I’ve seen yet have a low battery indicator, which is the problem in about 90% of the cases. The other 10% gets back to having too many wireless keyboards and mices proximate to each other. It is funny (to me) when someone calls and tells me that when they type something or move the mouse, the input shows up on someone else’s display. You would not believe how many calls I’ve received about this kind of problem. The typical time for when the data shows up on the wrong monitor is ….you guessed it, right after the batteries are changed. Someone presses the “detect” button while someone adjacent is using the mouse or keyboard. They are unaware of their neighbors actions and….
