car shipping company?

hey everyone.

i am very excited. I just bought a 1995 E320 wagon, but it is in Atlanta.

So I need to find a shipping company that's reliable.

Has anyone had any good experiences shipping a car?

thanks

eric

After a bunch of research, I'm about to use DAS to ship a car from Tempe to NJ for me. Not only were they much lower than the other quotes I got, but they are an actual shipping company with trucks. MANY of the auto shippers that you'll find are just brokers. DO NOT make the mistake I made and "get 10 free quotes from auto shippers." They make high-pressure car salesmen seem like missionaries.

Eric, if it were a diesel, I would tell you to buy a cheap ticket on Southwest and drive it back, but a gasser........

Congrats

thanks guys. i went with Pride Auto Transport for a grand total of $850. they are a broker, so maybe it was a mistake. but i feel quite confident that they will do just fine.

attached are photos of the wagon. it's not my old TD but it will hold me over until i can find another TD.

I just booked the shipment of a 300 SDL from Tempe to Jersey for $655 at DAS. Its a terminal-to-terminal shipment. Luckily there is a terminal close to the seller's home and one right near mine. $850 is a good price if its door to door. Just be prepared -- depending on the road you live on, the driver will probably not drive the rig down your street. You will likely get a call asking you to meet him somewhere else. I'll let you know how mine goes...

Btw, nice buy. Interior looks great!
