Angry Someone Keyed My 420 Sel

Right across the hood. Not to the bare metal but it still hurts to look at it. I was getting ready to give her the weekly wash-n-wax and there it was...the mark of a jealous hoodlum. I hope some necrotizing (sp) flesh eating bacteria attacks the private parts of who ever did this. Thanks for listening..i'm going to lie down.

Oh!

I am so sorry this has happened to you. Siduri. That's heart-breaking.

Siduri,

I am really sorry to hear of your W126 sedan having that happen!! That must really hurt, I know it happened to me on the beautiful coupe I had. It was legally parked on a suburban street at the time

It was a world of hassle, so I hope the scratch is light enough so it can be easily repaired or touched up by a master technician. That kind of vandalism REALLY makes me mad. Hopefully the hood won't need to be repainted

Take care and remember, it could have been worse - a hit and run, with you in the car!

Jim B.

Jeez, I don't get that $h!t. What some ass thinks he's getting out of that stuff is beyond me. It's one of the only advantages in having a rig in need of a paint job. The twerps seem to seek out cherries.

Dirty bastards.

Not to hijack your thread or steal your thunder but along the same lines....Somone stole my hood star last week. I suppose when I get another one (like I needed that extra cost with what I have to do to the car) I will get the purposefully removable kind.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Do they really make a hood ornament that is removeable and not by the blade of a thug?

They do indeed.

Honestly, I am surprised it took almost three years for someone to swipe it. However, it is nowhere near as bad as someone keying your car.

If you do a search there was a thread about this, and someone found a source for hoodstars for $20 or less, IIRC. I know, its still money but for a benz that is pretty cheap.

Somebody keyed my BLACK MB last year. Luckily it buffed out.

My cars have never been keyed, but I know of a very sad story of a brand new 330CI.It was keyed and the tires were cut.The car was keyed all around, there was no helping that car.Only a repaint.I dont know what the owner did with the car though.

If it's not to the metal, it may be saved. I have saved a few key jobs with a careful application of 1500 grit and buffing.
